Responsibilities: - Provide direct support and care to individuals in need, including children, seniors, or individuals with disabilities - Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting - Administer medication and monitor its effectiveness - Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to medical professionals - Assist with meal preparation and feeding - Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment - Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals in your care Experience: - Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred - Knowledge of first aid procedures and emergency response systems - Familiarity with childcare practices for those working with children - Understanding of assisted living principles for those working with seniors - Experience in medication administration and management - Knowledge of hospice care practices for end-of-life support Skills: - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with individuals in your care as well as their families and medical professionals - Compassionate and patient demeanor to provide emotional support to individuals facing physical or mental challenges - Strong organizational skills to manage schedules, medications, and other caregiving responsibilities - Ability to adapt to different environments and handle unexpected situations with calmness and professionalism Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
